A Junior Professorship in Neurogenomics/Neurogenetics is open at the Sorbonne University in association with the Institut du Fer à Moulin. This professorship is intended to strengthen the expertise of the IFM and the IBPS in neurogenetics/genomics applied to neuroscience and in particular to neurodevelopment.
The successful candidate will participate in the Neuroscience course of the Master in Integrative Biology and Physiology (BIP), including the core teaching units (UE) MU5BIN02 “Development of the Nervous System” and MU5BIN09 “Development and Plasticity of the Nervous System, Pasteur Course”. He or she will also be able to contribute to the teaching of new approaches, including organoids and omics, in the international courses of the BIP and BMC (Molecular and Cellular Biology) master programs.
Research may focus on the molecular and cellular processes involved in the development of the nervous system, in particular through the establishment of cellular diversity and neural networks. The project may involve genetics and functional genomics, neuroscience, developmental biology, evolution, molecular biology and bioinformatics.
